Vice Premier briefs top legislature on disaster relief

Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang on Thursday delivered a report to the top legislature on the disaster relief work in the earthquake-stricken areas since the May 12 devastating quake.

Li delivered the report on behalf of Premier Wen Jiabao at a meeting of the chairman and vice-chairpersons of the Standing Committee of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC), presided over by top legislator Wu Bangguo on Thursday afternoon.
