Donations to quake-hit regions rise to 21.4 bln yuan

As of Thursday noon, donations from home and abroad to China's quake-hit regions had reached 21.4 billion yuan (3 billion US dollars), up 5.4 billion yuan from the previous day, according to the Information Office of State Council.

So far, 1.9 billion yuan had been forwarded to the earthquake-affected areas, the office said.
