China's major oil refiners are diverting fuel from Southern provinces to quake hit areas to support Sichuan gasoline and diesel supplies.

Meanwhile, its Sichuan oil stock is now nearly 40 percent higher than pre-quake levels. PetroChina is also diverting fuels from other parts of the country, and helping disaster-hit refineries resume production. The firm has sent out dozens of fuel tanks to Sichuan to help rescue work.
