Local officials in Sichuan are working to make sure relief money and materials are promptly and efficiently distributed to every survivor.

A system has been put in place to ensure distribution is orderly, efficient and transparent.

This is the relief distribution center in Hanwang County, Mianyang city. When notified, each village sends a team to bring back materials for everyone. Records are kept on the number of villagers, and what and how much aid they get.

Distribution in the village is just as strict. Officials make sure everything and everyone is accounted for.

A system has been put in place to ensure distribution is orderly, efficient and transparent.

Luo Yun, local official of Guangyuan City said, "We first set up a registration card for every person. The card records when, what and how many materials he receives. Then we check how much we've distributed. The two numbers should be same. That's how we're making sure relief funds and materials get to the victims."

The central government have been distributing half a kilogram of grain and 10 yuan per person each day in the quake zone.

With donations and supplies pour into Sichuan, survivors are gradually getting more daily supplies, such as quilts, clothes, food and medicine.

Survivor Cai Minghai said, "Most materials have been distributed to us. Now we'll stir ourselves to rebuild our home. I have the confidence."

A survivor said, "We won't always depend on our country like now. We have two hands. We can work to make wealth."

While making sure supplies are completely and promptly distributed, local officials also keep an eye on the quality of those materials, especially the food and drinking water.
