Since May 22nd, over 700 workers have been racing against time to clear the rubble, flatten the land, and rebuild the houses.

The team says it can solve the housing problem of 60,000 people.

Ding Chuanbo, general commander of Beijing Construction Engineering Group, said, "We are in charge of 15,000 temporary houses. The whole program occupies an area of 300,000 square meters."

All the materials are transported from Beijing. This white board is used as part of a window to control the temperature inside the room. The engineer said it is light and convenient, and should keep the temperature cooler in summer and warmer in winter.

Now they are rushing to relocate local people as soon as possible.

Ding Chuanbo said, "We are aiming to finish the program at the end of this month. We will soon ensure the smooth supply of water and electricity, complete the ventilation system and drain out waste water. It is expected that the first lot of people can move in at the beginning of June."

So far, 16 programs like this have been launched, dealing with the housing problems of 200,000 people.
