Inner Mongolia sends 130 yurts to quake-hit areas

Tents and temporary houses are desperately needed in the quake-hit areas. The people of Inner Mongolia are offering their help, but they're not sending tents, they're delivering yurts.

The yurts are the traditional transportable homes of the nomads, and can be easily set up.

The yurts are the traditional transportable homes of the nomads, and can be easily set up. These 130 yurts, worth more than 600,000 yuan, are being sent to Sichuan by train.

Factories are working around the clock to produce specially made yurts for the survivors of Sichuan. They will provide for more than 150 families. Even though every yurt package has instructions, some Inner Mongolian natives are visiting Sichuan to help with setting up the yurts.
