The Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council has briefed the media on efforts by overseas Chinese toward post-quake reconstruction.

Speaking on Monday afternoon, Deputy Director Ma Rupei said his office launched a campaign called "Love from Overseas Chinese" the day after the earthquake. The campaign has set a goal of building 100 schools and 100 hospitals within three to five years, using donations from overseas Chinese.

Ma revealed the office was already mapping out the construction plan for the first 30 schools and hospitals.
