Quake zone gets 184 aftershocks in 24 hours

In the 24 hours ending Wednesday noon, 184 aftershocks were monitored in southwest China's quake zone, according to the China Seismological Bureau.

All the tremors measured at or below 3.9 on the Richter scale, the bureau said.

A total of 10,252 aftershocks have been detected in the quake areas since May 12 when the 8.0-magnitude quake struck.
