Adjust font size:

Eighty-one children from a quake-hit area in the southwest arrived in Beijing on Friday to continue their schooling, the Beijing News reports.

The group of students from Aba Tibetan-Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province has settled in a private boarding school sponsored by the China Children and Teenagers' Fund (CCTF).

They will be tested on their previous studies and be tutored during the summer.

The CCTF will sponsor the students, who range in age from 8 to 15, until they finish senior high school.
