Government acts to quell Urumqi revenge attacks

A soldier holding an AK-47 stands guard at a peace line set up north of Limin Lane in Urumqi. The ethnically mixed neighborhood in the south of the city was attacked on Tuesday, July 7, by Han Chinese seeking revenge for the killings of Sunday, July 5.
