Scientists at the University of California have found that triclosan, a chemical commonly used in lipsticks, face washes and toothpaste may cause heart and muscle problems, the Daily Mail reported.	据英国《每日邮报》报道，美国加利福尼亚大学的科学家们发现唇膏、洗面奶和牙膏中含有的一种化学物质——三氯生可能会引发心脏和肌肉病症。
The scientists discovered that the chemical may hinder the communication between the brain and muscles, including the heart.	科学家们发现，这种物质会阻碍大脑和肌肉、心脏之间的信息交流。
In tests on mice, they noted a "dramatic" 25 percent reduction in heart function within 20 minutes of exposure, and warned there is "strong evidence" that it could affect human health.	通过实验，研究人员注意到，老鼠接触这种物质不到20分钟，心脏功能会“惊人地”骤减25%，并警告称“强有力的证据”显示三氯生也可能影响人类健康。
However, other experts insist that triclosan levels in products are safe, and that the doses injected into the mice were higher than those to which humans would ever be exposed.	不过，也有一些专家坚持认为，日化产品中含有的三氯生属于安全剂量，而且实验中给老鼠注射的三氯生超过人们可能接触到的剂量。
