'The Lotus Fairy' celebrates the National Day in Hangzhou

A sculpture made with plants and flowers, named "The Lotus Fairy", has added festive atmosphere for the upcoming National Day Holiday in downtown Hangzhou, capital of eastern China's Zhejiang Province.

 

Gardeners build a sculpture "The Lotus Fairy" with flowers and plants in downtown Hangzhou, capital of eastern China's Zhejiang Province on Friday, September 28, 2007 to celebrate the upcoming National Day Holiday. 

The Fairy with long hair beholds a purple lotus in her hand. The green sculpture became the focus on the street, attracting many people to stop and look with admiration.

Gardeners working on the sculpture said it was not finished yet, and some more decorations would be added soon.
