Adjust font size:

A grand show of Tibetan songs and dances was put on stage in Beijing on Tuesday, to kick off the Fifth Beijing International Dance Festival.

The show titled 'Zang Mi,' or 'the Riddle of Tibet,' featured famous Chinese dancing artist Yang Liping, and dancers of the Tibetan ethnic groups from Gansu, Yunnan, Qinghai and Sichuan provinces as well as the Tibet Autonomous Region.

Well-decorated stage with properties brought from Tibet, florid costumes and unique folk dances gave the audience a splendid view of the Tibetan culture.

The show will be performed at the Poly Theater from November 13 to 15. Over the next couple of weeks, the international dance festival will also host delegates from the US, the UK, Canada, Spain, Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong, bringing different styles of dance performances.
