Large sauropod dinosaur skeleton exhibited

The skeleton of a Huabeisaurus allcotus, a kind of large sauropod dinosaur from the late Cretaceous period was on Sunday put on display to the public at the museum of earth sciences at Shijiazhuang University of Economics in northern China's Hebei Province.

Xinhua News Agency reported that the skeleton, assembled by the Shijiazhuang University of Economics, is about 20 meters long and five meters high. It is the largest sauropod dinosaur skeleton from the late Cretaceous period ever found in Asia.

The Huabeisaurus allcotus skeleton was found in 1983 at the border of Yangyuan County in northern China's Hebei Province and Tianzhen County in Shanxi Province. It contains 70 percent real bone.
