The solo exhibition of Jan Peter Van Opheusden's paintings is being held in Beijing Today Art Museum from April 21 to May 5.

The native artist of Netherlands finished his study of art in Design Academy Eindhoven, after which he started his career teaching drawing and sculpting. Besides teaching, he also established his own way of creating that incorporates traditional art from both Netherlands and France.

"Love you" is the theme of the exhibition. Jan Peter Van Opheusden said his inspiration and creation were derived from his respect for beauty, which was so called "love". This is what he is trying to express through the show.

According to Beijing Today Art Museum, works by the painter show us the artist's unconditional surrender to life. His art style is deeply related to impressionism. Visitors can see rich colors and traces of rapid movement of the brush on his paintings.
