China's first-ever drama featuring an all-blind cast was on stage in Beijing recently.

Xinhua News Agency reports that the drama, appropriately named "The Blind", was directed by the country's famous drama director, Lin Zhaohua. All actors and actresses were blind people without any prior acting experience.

The 19th-centry drama, dealing with 12 blind people lost in a jungle and waiting for rescue, was written by the Belgian playwright, Maurice Maeterlinck, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1911.
