Taiwan director and veteran actress Sylvia Chang, or Zhang Aijia, showed up in Beijing Wednesday to promote her new film "Run Papa Run".

According to Chinese website Sina, it is the first time that Sylvia has tried to tell a male-themed story.

This joint production between Jackie Chan's movie company JCE Movies and EEG Movies marks Sylvia's return to the director's chair, following her success with "20, 30, 40" in 2004.

Featuring a supporting cast including leading actor Louis Koo of Hong Kong and Taiwan actress Rene Liu, "Run Papa Run" works as both a gangster comedy and a family comedy.

The movie premiered in Hong Kong in early April and can be seen by Chinese mainland audiences from May 23.
