The official website for Hong Kong director Tsui Hark's style-changing film "Missing" opens with the first look at the film's posters in Beijing on Thursday.

Chinese website Sina reports that Tsui Hark set the film's suspense-love story in a 10,000 year old city that was gradually sinking into the sea to show that love can be eternal.

Production on the film, which was inspired by a documentary about an ancient sunken city, began three years ago. The film was shot on location at the sunken city.

Famous for his action movies, Tsui Hark says this film is an exploration of the human existence and civilization.

Chinese mainland actor Guo Xiaodong stars in the film and attended the opening ceremony for the website.

The film will be released on June 12.
