Taiwan pop diva Jolin Tsai will travel to Sichuan in July to meet quake orphans and other children rendered homeless by the May 12 disaster.

The entertainer will be making the trip in her capacity as a goodwill ambassador for World Vision, the reputable international charity organization.

In a press conference announcing the visit, Jolin Tsai called on people to donate more to quake victims. World Vision plans to give away teddy bears to those who donate more than 3,000 new Taiwan dollars.

The teddy bears – that sport T-shirts saying, "We love you" – are mascots of the quake relief project.

"I hope everyone comes forward and does their bit for the reconstruction of Sichuan," Jolin told reporters.
