Guy Ritchie is creating his own brand of whisky. The film director, who is married to Madonna, is reportedly aiming to make the most expensive version of the strong spirit ever. Guy, 39, developed a taste for a particular 33-year-old malt from drinking it at The Punch Bowl, the pubs he owns in the exclusive Mayfair area of London, and hopes to create one that is even better.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "He wants his to be the ultimate, exclusive whisky brand. He's into his country pursuits and only drinks whisky in his pub out of specially-made glasses. "Guy loves the idea of coming back in his tweed and deerstalker and sipping his own brand of whisky which is the best in the world." At present the most expensive whisky comes from distillers Macallan and costs 20,000 a bottle.

The source added: "He plans to top the current high-end prices with his brand. He is confident there are plenty of rich businessmen and rock stars who would pay six figures for the world's best whisky." Guy's latest film RocknRolla is set to be released in September this year.
