Chinese actress Dong Jie and actor Pan Yueming have plans to get married after dating for two years.

Newspaper Guangzhou Daily reported on Thursday that Dong's mother confirmed the news that the couple will enter marriage this year.

The two stars began their relationship in autumn 2005 when cooperating in a TV play "Hong Yi Fang", set in Shanghai in the early 20th century.

Dong became famous for her first film "Happy Times" in 2000, directed by renowned director Zhang Yimou. Since that, she has been known for her girl-next-door image.

Pan is known for his performances in the 2002 film "Life Show" and the small-screen adaptation of Lin Yutang's novel "Moment in Peking" in 2005.
