China's Prison Break fans can publish novelization
Adjust font size:

Chinese fans of the TV drama "Prison Break" will get a chance to publish a novel based on the series, the Beijing Times reported on Thursday.

Shanghai Translation Publishing House (STPH), which secured script rights from U.S.-based FOX Broadcasting Company, will launch an online campaign for a writer for the Chinese version, according to the report.

There is no original novel version of the series.

From Sept. 25 to Nov. 15, fans can submit chapters or an outline based on the first and second seasons. The winner will be chosen at the end of this year and get a publishing contract with STPH.

Zhao Ping from STPH, director of the competition, said that fans could modify the script to tell the story in their own way.
