Mainland Chinese actress Hu Jing has returned to work after her high-profile marriage to a Malaysian business tycoon in late September, the Xinhua News Agency reported.

Hu spoke with the media before attending an event in Shanghai on Friday and said she would continue her acting career now that she was married. Sha also said she and her husband were not planning to have children in the near future because their work required them to live apart. Hu also was critical of media reports that focused on her marriage to a wealthy man.

Hu said she was considering shooting a movie about a wedding, to which she could apply her real-life experience.

The actress, who just returned from her honeymoon in Malaysia's Redang Island, will host a party for friends at her home in Beijing on Sunday.
