"My So-Called Love", starring Taiwanese actress and singer Barbie Hsu will screen its movie trailer on October 24, Xinhua news agency reports.

Producer Hsu Li Kong, who partnered with famous director Ang Lee in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" (2000) and "The Wedding Banquet"(1993), returns to the limelight this year with his new work, "My So-Called Love".

This time, he teamed up with rising Taiwanese director Leading Lee, for the movie based on a true story.

Taiwanese pop singer Mavis Fan (Fan Xiaoxuan) composed the melody for the title song, for which Barbie Xu wrote the lyrics.

The storyline is about the protagonist, Kitty (played by Barbie Hsu), and her bumpy ten-year journey to find her true love.

Barbie Hsu, who first gained fame for her role in the TV series "Meteor Garden," has become very active on-screen in recent years.

She also starred in Benny Chan's "Connected", which has topped the Hong Kong box office since its premiere last month. Hsu played a resourceful kidnapping victim in the movie, and her acting skill in the role has been widely praised.

The actress seems very confident in this new movie, though the role is complex adn requires the actress to appear in some steamy scenes.
