The China International Fashion Week opens on Wednesday in the Beijing Hotel and the Beijing Fashion Design Plaza, Xinhua News Agency reports.

More than 800 models will present clothes from over 30 famous brands from home and abroad, including Aimer underwear, Cabbean men's clothing, NE.TIGER, Jordan sportswear and Maryma Series.

Some 40 fashion designers and 150 new designers will also showcase more than 60 new collections during the week.

A highlight of the event, the annual "China Fashion Culture Award", will be held on November 12 to celebrate top designers, models, photographers, stylists, brands and fashion writers of the Chinese fashion industry.

The "China Fashion Golden Award", the highest honor for Chinese fashion designers, will also be presented at the event.
