In recent years, Hong Kong pop idol Eason Chan has proved his fabulous talents in both singing and movie acting.

He has been named Hong Kong's Best-Selling Male Singer and Best Male Pop Singer. In his latest police film "Lady Cop and Papa Crook," he plays a tough mafia boss.

On New Year's Eve, Chan will be among the star attractions at Shanghai's New Year celebrations.

Together with Hong Kong singer Sandy Lam, Chan will present his hit songs at Xintiandi's annual New Year's Eve countdown show and party on Wednesday.

This year's show will incorporate elements of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo into its designs and programs. Newly selected theme songs for the Expo will be performed during the gala.

"I am thrilled to have this incredible outdoor New Year celebration experience with so many people in Shanghai," Chan said.
