Kate Winslet's working bedtime
Adjust font size:

Kate Winslet can't stop talking about work - even when she's in bed.

The actress, who teamed up with her director husband Sam Mendes for her Golden Globe winning performance in "Revolutionary Road", constantly discussed her dramatic scenes when the couple were alone together.

Sam said: "I would open my eyes in the morning and there Kate would be, going, 'Great! You're awake! Now let's talk about the second scene.'

"She loves to bring home work. She wants to talk about literally every full stop and comma, and so I realised that for 24 hours a day I had to basically treat her like my leading actress."

Kate recently revealed she wouldn't even let Sam eat in peace without interrupting with questions about the post-war film, also starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

She said: "Sam would be like, 'Whoa, babe! Hang on! Stop! You've got to just give me a second here - let me just eat dinner. Write these things down and we'll talk about them in the rehearsal room tomorrow.'"

However, Sam said his main concern with working with his wife was how their relationship would affect his leading man - who previously starred alongside Kate in 1997 blockbuster "Titanic".

He added to W magazine: "Leo was in the most difficult position because he was trying to be married to the director's wife, and I didn't want him feeling there was pillow talk between Kate and me about what he was doing."
