"Just Love You", the screen debut of popular Malaysian singer Victor Wong Pin Kuan, will premiere this Friday in Beijing.

Chinese director Gao Yujun, who now lives in Japan, shot this film in the countryside of her hometown Chongqing city. The cinematography by her husband, a renowned Japanese photographer, represents the picturesque and pristine beauty of the rural mountains of the world heritage listed Wulong County.

This romantic melodrama tells the story of a young man leaving his hometown and returning as an adult. The role of the young man is played by Victor Huang who pursues his dream in a big city, which turns out to be an experience full of twists and turns. After years spent in the city he returns back to his hometown, where he leads the village to develop rural tourism and finds his one true love.

In "Just Love You", Victor Wong's image as a young village leader is nothing short of fashionable. In this film Wong sports the latest outfits and even shows off the latest trendy glasses of his own brand.

The musical talent has even created the theme song to the film.

Director Gao is confident in the box office potential of this small-budget movie, which would make a refreshing diversion from the current film market offerings. Music fans are also eager to see what their idol looks like on the big screen.

Singer Victor Wong is still quite popular after the musical duo Michael & Victor (Wu Yin Liang Pin) disbanded in 2000 and since then both have gone on to develop their musical careers independently.
