Optimistic 'Message' by 2 leading actresses

Actresses Li Bingbing and Zhou Xun have two things in common: They have both won a string of awards at home and overseas and both agree their latest film eclipses them all.

Li, 33, and Zhou, 32, play Chinese agents in Japanese-occupied China during World War II in Huayi Brothers' spy thriller "The Message (Feng Sheng)," previously "Sound of the Wind."

They believe "The Message" is so well made it will become their new signature film.

Set for release at the end of this year, the film is being co-directed by Gao Qunshu and Kuo-Fu Chen, with costumes designed by Oscar winner Timmy Yip.
