'A year in Tibet' to air across China

The five-episode TV documentary "A Year in Tibet" will soon hit the air waves across China. It records the lives of monks and ordinary people in the small town of Gyanste in southern part of Tibet.

A Year in Tibet follows a calendar year inside the confines of a Tibetan monastery. It charts the lives of those living in Gyanste County. It focuses on eight people, including monks, a woman cadre, a countryside doctor, a restaurant owner and a tricycle rider. It offers a panorama of the real life of Tibetan people.
