To the disappointment of fans and media reporters, Leon did not announce his own wedding with his model-actress girlfriend Gaile Lai, as had been rumored earlier. Instead, he said he plans to run a second part of the concert next year, which will feature Indian elements.

Gaile showed up among the audience on the first night. However, Leon denied that he performed his 1998 single "I Love You So Much" for her.

"When I first sang the song, I didn't even know Gaile," he said on stage during the Monday gig.

The "Forever Enthralled" actor said he will go back to the mainland after the concert to finish his part in the film "Bodyguards and Assassins," or "Shi Yue Wei Cheng" in Chinese.

Leon Lai recently won the Bronze Bauhinia Star from the Hong Kong government and the award will be presented at a ceremony on October 1. He expressed his delight at being acknowledged by the people and government of Hong Kong for his charitable efforts.
