Disney's "G-Force" toppled the latest "Harry Potter" film to become the No. 1 at the box office with 32 million dollars this weekend in North America, according to preliminary figures released Sunday.

The 3-D animated comedy, featuring voices of Nicolas Cage and Penelope Cruz, tells the story about a group of government-trained guinea pigs in an adventurous mission to save the world from the control of a diabolical billionaire.

"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," the sixth installment of the popular boy wizard movie franchise, was in second place with about 30 million dollars over the three-day period, amassing more than 222 million dollars in the continent since its release nearly two weeks ago.

Sony's romantic comedy "The Ugly Truth" opened this weekend in third place, taking in 27 million dollars to the higher end of industry expectations. The film starring Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler is about a young couple who initially hate each other but fall in love in the end.

The weekend's another new release, Warner Bros.' horror movie " Orphan," debuted in fourth with 12.8 million dollars. It tells a story about a sweet little girl adopted by a family turning out to be the source of a series of horrible incidents.

Rounding out the top five movies this weekend in North America were 20th Century Fox's animated "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs" with 8.2 million dollars. The film has grossed 171 million dollars since its release four weeks ago.
