Veteran actor Ge You has again been cast as a swindler in his latest film "Gasp".

In the 2008 film "Desires of the heart" Ge You played a swindler who cheats women.

"Maybe they think I fit these roles in terms of my appearance," Ge You joked at a press conference for "Gasp" in Beijing on Monday.

"Gasp" tells a story of mutual deception. U.S. businessman Frank (John Savage) comes to China in an attempt to sell his cheese company, which is on the brink of bankruptcy, to a rich Chinese man Li Qiang (Ge You). The man, who pretends to be very wealthy, is actually suffering from a series of debts. As the story moves forward the two men involve more and more people who gasp under the pressure of life, hence the title of the film.

The film is slated for release on August 28 across China.
