Twenty-one-year-old Jiang Yingrong is officially the "Happiest Girl" in China.

The young singer was crowned champion of the popular "Happy Girl" singing competition on Friday.

Jiang's win comes as no surprise, because the singer and dancer, who names Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera her role models, had been the most impressive contestant for several rounds.

The second prize went to 22-year-old Li Xiaoyun, with 20-year-old Huang Ying bagging the third spot.

"Happy Girl", a competition that uses a similar format of "American Idol", is Hunan Television's latest star-making program. The previous show, "Super Girl", has produced such stars as Li Yuchun and Zhang Liangying.
