“110 Service” for Travellers

Penglai, one city in Shandong Province, has recently set up a travel “110” patrol service in local scenic spots in order to deal with problems that tourists might meet. The service has won praise from the moment it appeared, for it offers a way of protecting people’s legitimate rights and creating a more convenient travel climate in the scenic spots.

With May Day and National Day holidays being prolonged in recent years, travel has become a fashion in China. Many people like to invite several friends or households to go traveling, which adds more colorful amusement in their lives. However, many problems appear with the travel activities increasing. For instance, counterfeit goods and cheating frequently occur in some scenic spots, hurting not the tourists’ legitimate rights but also their feelings, resulting in a harmful effect. Besides, some people easily to get lost due to the unfamiliarity of the local environment. All the problems call for immediate attention from the departments concerned.

The reason that the travel 110 service has won favor is that it has a fast reaction time in helping to tackle the problems tourists meet, reducing the influence of any incident.
