A total of 122 kinds of mainland products, including bed-stereo and laser branding machine, have been permitted to enter Taiwan market, according to officials from Taiwan economic sector.

To date, 5,810 industrial and agricultural products from Chinese mainland have been admitted to Taiwan, accounting for 57 per cent of checked goods, since the Taiwan authorities began to open its market to mainland products in 1989.

Among the 200-odd kinds of product examined this time, about 100 types are still in ban.

The popular product--DVD, which is sensitive to Taiwan's relevant industry, is not admitted for entry.
