HK Airport Named as Asia's Best

The Hong Kong International Airport was named as Asia's best airport by Asiaweek magazine in a special edition to mark its 25th anniversary.

Victor Fung Kwok-king, chairman of the Hong Kong Airport Authority, said here Thursday that it is a great honor for the Hong Kong International Airport and fitting recognition of its place in the region.

"This is an especially gratifying award," Fung said, "as it is included among a remarkable survey of the best things Asia has to offer. We are very proud and honored to be a part of it."

The special edition of the magazine includes a four-page picture essay on the airport. The edition is devoted to a selection of Asia's best, from food to fashion, business, leisure and travel.
