Researchers Succeed in Net-Case Fishery

Chinese researchers have declared success in the experiment of raising fish in a huge net case in the deep sea.

The huge soft case, 90 times the size of average cases, has survived three formidable typhoons since it was put in the sea near the coastal city of Ningbo this year, with no single fish of the total 20,000 missing.

With 9800 square kilometers of sea area and coastline measuring 1,600 kilometers, Ningbo is deemed an ideal venue for experiment on net-case fishery.

Fast developing seawater aquiculture in the region, however, has brought on various problems like pollution and shortened the lifespan for fish there.

The method of huge net case fishery has proved a way out, as fish prefer wild surroundings.
