Guizhou to Help Handicapped People to Relieve Poverty

Guizhou Province in southwest China will help 17,200 families of handicapped people to shake off poverty in this year.

Its federation of disabled people will also offer job opportunities to 2,580 handicapped people. It is learned that the special aid-for-poor loan project of 70 million yuan for handicapped people has been accomplished and the loan will soon be extended to them gradually.

Besides, the "New Yangtze River Mileage" Program with the donation of Mr. Li Ka-shing of Hong Kong, aiming at raising the education level of blind children, will be fully carried out in the province and 2,142 blind children will gain subsidies.
