Half of World Top 500 Branch Out in Guangdong

Among world top 500, 280-odd transnational corporations have set up branches in Guangdong with over 300 investment projects in value of billions of US dollars.

Scattered mainly in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Foshan and Jiangmen, the above mentioned corporations have involved in the business of home appliances, mechanic, petroleum, automobiles, high polymer, chemicals, glass fiber, chemical necessities, container-manufacturing, electronics and computer parts, covering all fields of industries.

The said corporations are mainly from the United States, Japan, Switzerland, Germany, France, Holland, Finland and Singapore. Some examples are Standard, Mobile, Macdonald, Xerox, Exxon, Caltex from the United States; National, Mitsubishi, Hitachi, Honda, Sanyo, Toyota, Sony, Canon from Japan; Philip, Royal Shell from the Netherlands; ABB from Switzerland, and Ericsson from Sweden.

Experts noted that these transnational corporations have brought funds to Guangdong and helped boost the local export-oriented economy.
