Yunnan Police Seize Heroin

Police in southwest China's Yunnan Province have seized 133.767 kg of heroin, and arrested five suspects in the case.

Officers with the border police of Baoshan City said that they detected 102.696 kg of heroin inside the steel pipe handrails of a truck on November 12 at a border checkpoint, where they arrested two suspects.

The suspects confessed that the heroin was to be delivered to a man identified as Zhong in Guangzhou City, in neighboring Guangdong Province.

On November 20, Zhong was arrested at a parking lot in Guangzhou as he was waiting to take over the goods.

Acting on information from Zhong, the police nabbed two more suspects in a Guangzhou hotel on November 24, who were there to deliver 31.071 kg of heroin to Zhong.
