One killed, 27 Injured at McDonald's Explosion

One man was killed and 27 others injured in an explosion Saturday at a McDonald's chain store in Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi Province in northwest China.

The explosion occurred at about 6:30 pm, police sources said.

Preliminary investigation by the police shows that the explosion is caused by man-made device.

The injured were rushed to local hospitals. The investigation is underway by the press time.
