Canadian PM Leaves for Xi'an

Visiting Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien left here for Xi'an, capital of China's northwest Shaanxi Province Monday morning to continue his 9-day official visit to China.

Chinese Premier Zhu Rongji held talks with Chretien Sunday. Chretien arrived in Beijing Saturday, accompanied by an entourage of more than 600 people, the largest mission ever sent by Canada to a foreign country in its diplomatic history.
