Chinese President Jiang Zemin Friday said that the establishment of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) unveils a new chapter for friendly relations of the six member states.

When meeting the press after signing the declaration of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, President Jiang said that while cooperating in fighting against terrorism, separatism and extremism, members of the organization will also try to make trade and investment more convenient among the six signing countries, including China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

Jiang said that the six good neighbors will make further contribution to peace, development and prosperity of the human society.
