China Denies Alleged Connection With Terrorist Organization

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Zhang Qiyue Tuesday denied a report by an Indian newspaper which alleged that China has connection with a terrorist organization in Pakistan.

China has not heard of nor had any connection with the so-called LET, the terrorist organization named by a journalist, Zhang said in a regular press conference.

The journalist said Indian newspaper Pioneer carried a report which quoted information sources as saying that the leader of LET has had secret meetings with an agent of China in Lahore, and bought from China a solar-powered missile launching system, rifles and mortars in preparation for war against Indian security forces stationed in Kashmir.

"We feel regret over such groundless allegations," Zhang answered. "We have never heard of, nor had any connection with the so-called organization LET."
