President Visits Hunan Province

President of Yale University Richard C. Levin Thursday visited Changsha, capital of Hunan Province, central China, and attended the ceremony of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Yale-China Association.

Levin reviewed the exchanges and cooperation between his school and China in education. He said that the exchanges and cooperation should be further enhanced.

The association, which is responsible for educational and cultural exchanges between Yale and China, was founded by alumni of the university in 1901. The association, in cooperation with local government departments and private organizations, have established a number of medical and educational institutions in Changsha.
