Chinese Vice President to Start Five-nation Tour

Chinese Vice President Hu Jintao will start a five-nation tour at the end of the month, it was announced Tuesday afternoon in Beijing.

Foreign Ministry Spokesman Sun Yuxi said that at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, British Prime Minister Tony Blair, French President Jacques Chirac, Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Aznar and German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, Hu Jintao will pay a working visit to Russia on October 27, and then pay an official visit to Britain, France, Spain and Germany respectively from October 28 to November.
