Sichuan Sets up Major Tourism Market

Southwest China's Sichuan Province will set up a super-size tourism market providing comprehensive information and self-help services for tourists.

Located in central Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan, the 5,800-sq m market will open to the public in March this year.

According to Jian Bo, general manager of the market, branch offices of more than 100 tourist sites, travel agencies, hotels, transportation companies, tourism websites, and supervision and complaint organizations will be involved.

The market will help the province establish a thorough information and service network to attract more tourists at home and abroad, said an official from the tourism bureau of Sichuan.
