Antidumping Duty on ROK Chemical Extended
Adjust font size:

China's Ministry of Commerce announced on Wednesday that it will levy antidumping duty on imported bioriented stretching polyester film (BOPET) from the Republic of Korea (ROK) for another five years.

China started an antidumping investigation into BOPET from the ROK on Dec. 28, 2004, so as to find out whether dumping would still exist if previous antidumping duty stopped.

According to the ruling from the Ministry of Commerce, dumping would resume and cause harm to domestic industry were the antidumping tax to stop, so the extension of antidumping measures over the BOPET is necessary.
