Dell Tries China LCD TV Market

Although Dell (China) Co. Ltd. has repeated it is not the right time to enter into China's LCD TV market, the world PC leader never stops its effort in exploring China's electronic consumption market, Beijing Times reported.

According to Beijing Times, Dell has sold one set of its wide screen 30" LCD monitor in China priced at 18,999 yuan, which is regarded a prelude to enter into China's TV market.

Dell said users can only buy this TV set through online order or phone call order.

Sources of Dell said the company has conducted a thorough market survey before selling the monitor with customers mainly game players, workstation users and some professional groups.
